Patty Theuer

MSTCVS QC Program Manager

Patty Theurer, RN, MSN is the project manager for the Michigan Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons (MSTCVS) Quality Collaborative Initiative and has been with the collaborative since its inception in 2005.  She has worked in cardiac surgery since 1989 when she assisted with the implementation of the cardiac surgery program at Providence Hospital in Southfield. Patty obtained certifications from the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) for Professional Achievement in Perioperative Nursing Practice (CNOR) in 1995 and Professional Achievement in Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) in 1998.  Patty has served on the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Adult Cardiac Surgery Core Group since 2011, The STS Advances in Quality Outcomes (AQO) Abstract review committee since 2010 and the AQO planning committee since 2011.
