Samantha Kesterson joined MISHC as a Project Manager in 2026. She graduated from the University of Michigan’s School of Social Work and holds her clinical license for mental health services. In addition to experience in direct health care, Sam brings her background in innovative methods for delivering care and in community health education programs. She is familiar with the Collaborative Quality Initiative space, having previously worked as a Project Coordinator with the Michigan Emergency Department Improvement Collaborative (MEDIC).

Sam collaborates with the Coordinating Center team to develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and support key consortium functions.

She is the BMC2 Lead to the Michigan Cardiac Rehab Network (MiCR), where she facilitates statewide collaboration to increase cardiac rehabilitation utilization among all eligible patients and to improve patient outcomes. Additionally, as publication coordinator, she oversees the development, review, and tracking of quality improvement studies within the BMC2 and MISHC publication pipeline, ensuring stakeholder collaboration and timely dissemination of findings.
