June 9th, 2026 MISHC Mitral Physician Virtual Meeting Summary

Thank you to those who attended the June 9, 2026, MISHC Mitral Physician Virtual Meeting. 

Highlights and key takeaways:
  • Tiberio Frisoli, MD, Medical Director for Henry Ford Health presented a mitral case scenario, TMVR vs MTEER.
  • Pradeep Yadav, MD, and Vinod Thourani, MD, Piedmont Heart in Atlanta presented Heart Team Management for Mitral Valve Disease.  The slide presentation can be viewed on NextCloud.

Dr. Yadav and Dr. Thourani shared the patient workflow at Piedmont Heart Institute which includes a shared valve clinic with the interventionalist and surgeon. In addition, they shared the valve team meeting pathway used at Piedmont. TVT data and case scenarios were used to highlight the heart team decision making approach.
