MISHC September 2025 Newsletter Introduction from P. Michael Grossman

As we reach the final quarter of 2025, we have been reflecting on MISHC’s continued progress in advancing quality of care and outcomes for patients across our state.
This year marks another exciting phase of growth and collaboration, as we’ve launched our dedicated Mitral and TAVR Workgroups. These multidisciplinary teams, with a broad array of stakeholders from across the Consortium, help provide strategic guidance for our initiatives in their respective specialties.
We will welcome new BMC2 leadership on October 1st, as Director of BMC2 Vascular Surgery, Dr. Nick Osborne, becomes the Program Director. Dr. Eric Cantey will lead BMC2 PCI, and Dr. Hitinder Gurm will become the Chair of a new BMC2 Executive Board.
Looking ahead, MISHC remains focused on continuous learning and excellence.
We encourage all members to stay actively engaged—your input and shared experiences fuel our collective success. Together, we are making measurable strides in improving the overall standard of structural heart care in Michigan and strengthening the collaborative spirit that defines the MISHC community.
